A pleasant sense of earthy funk hovers on the nose of this blend of 67% Sangiovese and 33% Cabernet Sauvignon, with tar and elderberry aromas most prevalent. There's ample tension to the palate, where the dark berry flavors meet with a loamy earth element. — Matt Kettmann
